This is one of my favourite songs of all time, even apart from the obvious Celtic connection. As a song it's just beautiful, it's emotional, it's got one of the greatest melodies ever. Then you lisgen to the words and you associate it to Celtic and it's truly got to go down as one of the greatest songs ever written, for all of those reasons. If you can write a song that affects so many people emotionally, no matter how many times you play it or no matter how famous the song is, that's when you know you've written a classic. I've not got there yet but I've still got a couple of years to keep trying!
lyrics
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
